M: My family was moved out of west Jerusalem. I was born in Musrara, the building was one of the best buildings in the area, called Amar t'Shibar owned by Mr. Shibar. Recently it was demolished, when we went back we saw that it was gone.

Q: So where would that be on the map? Is it facing the wall, kind of, a little north of Meir Sharim?

M: Yes, that became all Jewish but there were lots of Christian Palestinians lived there before 1948. All of them were moved

Q: That happened to you and your family? How were you moved? One day, what?

M: I give you an example, we were terrorized. This was a month before May. My sister was playing in the streets when one of what we called the Zionist terrorists threw a bomb. She saw one of her friends, her girl friend, blown up by a bomb. She was terrorized. My mother was in shock. So, my father told my mother, they were completely terrorized, “let me go visit my mother, she was living near, what do you call it, Mt. Scopus.” So we moved over there. Then May fifteenth happened and we were never able to go back. The apartment was fully furnished. My father's office was fully furnished. He left the money bag in the safe and everything, and he was never able to go back.
